Hoy un grupo de personas e instituciones sevillanas tratan de mantener vivo este legado a través de la Fundación Nao Victoria. Y Sevilla no puede estar ajena a este esfuerzo que ha llevado a que el pabellón de Andalucía en la Expo de Shangai sea el "Galeón Andalucía".
Por eso desde estas líneas y con nuestro trabajo vamos a promover el acuerdo entre la Fundación, las instituciones, Ayuntamiento y Autoridad Portuaria, para que Sevilla acoja en su darsena de forma permanente a estas naves.
El interés está asegurado, en los escasos días que estuvo el Galeón an Sevilla más de 35.000 visitas. Nos toca aprovechar el renovado interés por nuestro río, nuestra historía y el patrimonio tangible e intangible de Sevilla en beneficio de todos.
